This year, the Ames Science Fair will take place on March 15, 2017. More information about the timing and events of the evening will be distributed at a later date.
For now, we are preparing for the Science Fair by conducting workshops for those students that have not participated in the Science Fair in the past.
All students that would like to be a part of the Science Fair will need to report to the Multipurpose Room on Thursday, February 23rd at 3pm to pick up a packet and sign the Science Fair Contract. If your child has participated in the Science Fair in the past, he or she can leave as soon as they have completed these two things. Please click on the link below to sign your child up for the fair. (We would like to know about how many packets we should prepare.)
For those students that are new to the Science Fair, they will need to plan on attending two workshops in order to help prepare them for the fair. These workshops will be in the Multipurpose Room on:
Thursday, February 23rd from 3-4pm &
Thursday, March 2nd from 3-4pm
We will walk the students out the front doors of the school at the conclusion of the workshops. Please click on the link below to sign your child up for the fair. (We would like to know about how many packets we should prepare.)
Important Notes:
Your child does not need to have participated in Science-in-a-Bag in order to do the Science Fair.
Your child does not need to have a partner or topic picked out before attending the workshops. We will help with both of these things!
We want as many children as possible to participate in the fair, so please encourage your child to be a part of the fun!
