PARENT VOLUNTEER LEADERS NEEDED!!

Junior Great Books is a voluntary “Book Club” for kids in 2nd – 5th grades. In Junior Great Books, students and their adult leader read stories and share their ideas and opinions about the stories. The narratives have been selected to spark children’s ideas, and promote discussion while expanding their literary exposure.
Parent volunteers are needed to guide the kids through discussions. The groups consist of 4-8 students. You choose the day of the week that works for your schedule. (Two parents can split the weeks and co-lead a group as well.) Everything you need (leader books, activity suggestions, and program ideas) will be provided.
The program begins the week of January 9th and runs for 10 weeks. Meetings are once per week during lunch, on whichever day of the week you choose. If you are interested in leading, please email Liz Buoscio (liz_jack@sbcglobal.net) the following information:

• Your name
• Your child’s (or children’s) name(s)
• Your child’s (or children’s) grade(s)
• Day of the week you’d like to lead (please include all available days if your schedule is flexible)
• Your email address
• Your cell phone
• If you would be willing to lead a grade other than your child’s

NOTE: Student signup will begin next week. Please do not email requesting to sign your child up for Jr. Great Books. This initial signup is for Group Leaders only!
