Dear Ames Families,

This will be a school year we won’t soon forget.  As the t-shirts said, “at home we had to stay, but we did it the dolphin way”.  Thanks to the entire Ames community for making e-learning as seamless as possible for all.

We won’t forget the fun we had prior to March 13th – fun lunches, Family Movie Night, assemblies, Junior Great Books, Family Dance, and more. I look forward to a night when we can celebrate like we did at the Fall Festival.  While we missed some of our favorite events, we made the most of wrapping up a few programs virtually.

We have interesting considerations ahead with the potential for more e-learning and changing rules for in-school activities.  We also will welcome Early Learners, a remodeled school and a new playground. This summer, the PTA Board will begin to look at how we may need to re-shape our programming to best support the Ames community in this new environment.  We will reach out for input and please feel free to send ideas to me or anyone on the Board.

We send appreciation and love to all of our 5th grade families. You are so special and we will miss you.

Have a wonderful summer!

Susan Wolfe
PTA Co-President
