Ames Fall Festival and its connection to Cultural Arts

Ames PTA feels strongly about providing robust Cultural Arts programs for all Ames students to further enrich their elementary school experience.

The first Ames “Festival” was held in January 1996 as a way to raise money for the PTA to buy computers for the school. When District 96 came up with money for computers, the Ames PTA chose to redirect those funds to Cultural Arts because of impending budget cuts to the Arts by the District.

The fundraising goal for each Fall Festival is simply to raise enough money to pay for two years of Cultural Arts programming. Funds from the 2017 Fall Festival will support programs during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years.

The following list details the Cultural Arts programs paid for by the Ames PTA from funds raised at the 2015 Fall Festival.
