Year-End Collection Reminder

Posted May 28, 2009 | Category: Reminders

A flyer went home last week about the annual school-wide teacher collection.  In addition to your child’s grade level teacher, there are many other teachers at Ames School that contribute to your child’s education.  These teachers (Mrs. Ekstrom, Mrs. Lauritsen, Mrs. Goletz and Mrs. Bieschke) along with Mrs. Sheppard, lunchroom aides, mid-day assistants, resource teachers, custodians and many others do a lot for our children over the course of the year.  To show them how much we appreciate everything they do, we usually pool our resources and get them gift certificates.
Participation is purely voluntary and no amount is too small.  Please send your contribution to the school in an envelope marked “Donna Jones, c/o School Office” by Friday, May 29th.  If you have any questions or if your contribution will be late, please email Donna at riversidefour@aol.com as soon as possible.
Thank you and have a wonderful summer.

2009-2010 Registration for Returning Students

Posted May 16, 2009 | Category: Getting ready for School

The registration process for all District 96 families returning for the 2009-2010 school year (not including first time registration) has changed.  In the past, registration materials were mailed home in July.  This year registration information and forms are now available on the District 96 website.  Forms can be printed and then filled out or you can use your computer to fill out the forms and then print them out.  This is not an on-line registration process.  At this time we are unable to accept an electronic copy, as we are required by law to have a parent or legal guardian’s signature.

Please visit www.district96.org to access the registration forms.  Click on Resources and then on 2009-2010 Registration – Returning Student.  A completed registration form is required for each student returning for the 2009-2010 school year.

To ensure your child will be included in the class assignment, registration forms and fees are due by Wednesday, June 10.  Registration forms and school fees received after June 10th will be processed during the week of August 10, 2009 when school offices re-open after summer break.

Registration forms not received by August 10th will be considered late registration.  Late registrations will only be accepted on Friday, August 14, 2009 during normal school hours.

If you have any questions or if you do not have access to the Internet, please contact your school office for the forms.
